It’s unnerving how much I think of you and her; of the little spaces between your hugs; of you moving towards her with want locked in your eyes and hers, bare; of every smile plastered on your face but laughs on hers with every teasing we throw at you; of your arm awkwardly draped on her shoulders or around her waist; of the many tiny kisses you give her and the nothing you receive in return; of the “imy” truncated from your “i miss you”; of the seriousness in your voice in every “I love you” and the “Haha” you get in return; and, I wonder, do I have a chance?
Can we go back to the time when your surname sounded so good alongside my first name? For a split second, that was all I heard and it sure sounded natural. It has a nice ring to it, if I may add. Momentous!
Day 15, Wednesday: A Day in the life (include photos from throughout your typical day - this could be “a photo an hour” if you’d like)
My life, especially now that it’s summer, is boring. I wake up, I eat, I try to make it through the day, and then, I sleep. That’s it. Haha! But, here are some things I did do today, in particular.
I loaded film onto my toy camera, which I haven’t touched since… last year.
I’ve been answering calls and checking my email for job opportunities. Ahhh, the life of a graduate. /sarcasm #nonexistent
Counted coins today! I’m removing the 5, 10, and 25 ¢ from my piggy bank because… Let’s see how many of them I can gather for the year.
Nothing new here. Everyday listening to my sister’s playlist.
And, we all know what this is. Nothing new there as well.
Oh, and I updated my résumé (that word looks pretentious, don’t you think?).
Went back to sleeping to overcome this excruciating heat!
And, lastly, I watched tv all day. The internet had become boring and I have no game console to play with so…
This is my usual spot - the flat surface that serves as a filler for when the stairs turn 90° - where I clearly see the television without being too close and get a good/usable wi-fi signal. Sweet!
So… Well, that’s just. That’s my day.
Clouds overload at C-6 earlier! Also, why do I always see beautiful scenery when I’m driving? I saw a vintage car (sample) earlier at SLEX.
Aside from that, I haven’t been using my slr. AGAIN. :( I need to go out! Unfortunately, this intense heat, and alternating sun and rain, is giving me headaches.
12/31: I miss.
Day 12, Sunday: What do you miss? (a person, a thing, a place, a time of your life…)
It’s not that I miss Los Baños per se. It’s just that I miss the freedom it brings. When I was a student, I could go to places with just a text from my friends - Tagaytay, Sta. Rosa, the coffee shop just outside our apartment; you name it, (as long as I have the resources) I’m there. Now that I’m a graduate, I’m stuck here at home. The telly and the internet are becoming more boring by the minute.
Don’t get me wrong. I do miss Los Baños. This statement is loaded in that it includes my college friends, my own apartment, my allowance, my late night rendezvous (oops! haha), travelling, etc.
Now that I’ve mentioned travelling, I’ve missed that as well. Unbeknownst to all, I’m a frustrated traveler. I want to see the world. Studying at a school 64 km away from home has introduced me to a whole new world, has taught me that there is more to the world outside the boundaries of Metro Manila.
This image pretty much sums up everything I lost after graduating - everything I lost and everything I missed.
